COR Certification Standards
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is administered by SAFE Work Manitoba. Certification confirms our health and safety management system has been independently audited and verified to meet established provincial standards — not self-assessed.
Systematic hazard identification and risk assessment protocols applied consistently across all worksites, reducing exposure through engineered and administrative controls
Full compliance with the Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health Act and all applicable federal safety regulations
COR certification qualifies Titan for WCB premium reductions and demonstrates documented due diligence for liability purposes
COR certification is a mandatory requirement for many Manitoba public sector and large ICI construction contracts
Our Safety Management System
Titan's safety management system is structured around documented procedures, field-level accountability, and annual external verification through SAFE Work Manitoba's COR audit process.
Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for each task with engineered controls, administrative controls, and PPE requirements documented before work begins
Pre-operational inspections, lockout/tagout procedures, and equipment maintenance protocols applied to all tools and machinery on site
Engineered fall arrest systems, guardrail requirements, and documented rescue procedures for all elevated work
Ergonomic assessments, lifting protocols, and mechanical handling equipment for drywall and related materials
Site-specific emergency procedures, first aid stations, and evacuation protocols established at project mobilization
All subcontractors working under Titan are required to comply with our safety program — a COR program requirement that extends accountability across the full project team
Safety Performance & Accountability
COR certification requires ongoing measurement, not just documentation. We track both leading indicators (proactive safety activity) and lagging indicators (incident outcomes) and submit to annual external audits to maintain certification.
- Annual external COR audit conducted by a SAFE Work Manitoba-approved auditor
- Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) tracked and reviewed against internal targets
- Near-miss reporting program with documented root cause analysis
